Racines is the Bordeaux restaurant of Scottish-born chef Daniel Gallacher, who opened the address in 2015. His cooking draws on that background while following the produce available from the market. The official presentation describes a small selection of savoury and sweet plates, giving diners a choice in how they put together a meal.

The restaurant reopened after a renovation in September 2024. The wine list gives space both to established names and smaller producers, with Bordeaux represented prominently. Gault&Millau also identifies the address as a refined bistro combining French and Scottish influences.

Lunch is a practical entry point, with shorter menus and a separate Saturday and public-holiday price. The official website asks diners to mention vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free requirements at booking. An upstairs room is offered for private groups, so a business meal or celebration can be discussed directly with the restaurant.
