There are secret addresses. And then there is Ouistiti, the Saint-Lazare neighbourhood's lively hideaway, whose name regulars pass on in a whisper.
On Rue de l'Arcade, behind a discreet frontage, three spaces surround a superb period zinc bar, the beating heart of the house. The décor mixes Art Deco with urban jungle: shimmering green wallpaper, lustrous velvet and a few well-placed mirrors.
At lunchtime, the restaurant serves polished modern bistro cooking for the neighbourhood's business lunches. In the evening, from Wednesday to Saturday, a DJ and live singer turn up the heat: soul to begin, then eighties pop and disco to get everyone on their feet. The mixologist's signature cocktails accompany the rising tempo, until 02:00 at weekends.
Here, you are welcomed as friends: the owners are in the dining room, the atmosphere is friendly, and generations mingle on the improvised dance floor between the tables.
Because the party feels like an evening with friends who just happen to have a very good DJ.
