Mets Mots has two clear identities. At lunchtime, the restaurant on rue Fondaudège serves a short French menu, changing weekly and offering a choice of starters, main courses and desserts. In the evening, it becomes a wine bar with smaller plates that can be shared or ordered individually.
The restaurant was opened in 2018 by Léo Forget, Marion Forget and Romain Grenet. Michelin describes its setting as a former printing house and notes the team's experience with Pierre Gagnaire. The official website puts seasonal ingredients and direct relationships with producers at the centre of the cooking.
The evening drinks selection includes more than 100 wine references alongside cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic options. Food is served until 22:30, before the bar closes later. This difference between kitchen and bar hours is useful when planning a late meal. Weekday lunch and an evening with friends call for different ordering expectations here.
