There are restaurants that welcome you. And then there is Manko, which puts on a show: part restaurant, part cabaret, the Peruvian address on Avenue Montaigne is a Paris nightlife institution.
Founded with celebrated Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio, the restaurant introduces cooking shaped by all of Peru's influences: ceviches at the ceviche bar, Japanese and Chinese touches, and Andean flavours. The interior, recently redesigned by architect Sophie Lacroix, wraps the room in velvet and mosaics.
The evening begins as an elegant dinner and rarely ends the way it started: from Thursday to Saturday, party energy takes over, driven by DJs and live musicians. On Thursdays, the Manko Loko night gets all Paris moving, with percussion and saxophone among the tables.
Valet parking, pisco cocktails and a dancing dining room: Manko fully embraces the grand spectacle in the Golden Triangle. You meet as many neighbourhood regulars as visitors who have come for the quintessential Parisian night out.
Because ten years after opening, this is still where Paris comes to party in style.
