There are restaurants in beautiful buildings. And then there is Le Pompon, which has made its home in the Palais Brongniart, the former Paris stock exchange.
The latest opening from the Paris Society group cultivates the art of celebration behind the appearance of a refined bistro. Interior designer Daphné Desjeux imagined a setting “as if it had always been there”: wood panelling, aged mirrors, deep green velvet and leopard-print carpet.
Each evening begins with a generous dinner designed for large groups: truffled croque Pompon, crispy corn, beef fillet with pepper sauce, spicy lobster linguini and spectacular sharing desserts such as a giant pavlova or midnight churros. From 22:00, the banquettes become a dance floor, and the room sings until 02:00.
At the bar, the menu reinvents retro classics with a Parisian touch: Cosmopolitan, Zombie, Daiquiri, Appletini. Tablecloths, silverware and glitter: the contrast is the charm.
Because you dine in a palace and dance as if you were at home.
