Chez Bànôi brings southern Vietnamese family cooking to rue Moncey, near Part-Dieu. The restaurant’s story centres on Bànôi and her son Thanh, and the address has been operating since 2018.
The menu includes noodle bowls, rice dishes and Vietnamese-style stews, with options such as lacquered duck and caramelised chicken among the current published choices. The official menu lists duck with rice and vegetables at €17 and caramelised chicken with rice at €15. Those are individual dish prices, not the cost of a full meal.
Desserts give the menu a more personal turn, with preparations such as pineapple tarte tatin and other sweets changing the rhythm after a savoury course. The drinks list includes homemade soft drinks as well as cocktails. Consult the current menu for ingredients and availability rather than assuming a dish can be adapted.
The official site lists lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, with service windows of 11:45–14:00 and 18:45–21:30. Book or order through the restaurant’s own website, and use the Moncey address when comparing listings: similarly named Vietnamese restaurants elsewhere in the area are separate businesses.
