A Japanese izakaya and natural-wine bar with sharing dishes, sake and a menu that changes with the kitchen's ideas.
Maïdo adds a Japanese option to a selection otherwise strongly rooted in Mediterranean cooking. The restaurant describes itself as an izakaya: a place to eat and drink together, with dishes intended for sharing. Kanako opened the restaurant after working in restaurants and bars in Japan.
The official website names gyoza, karaage and tonkatsu among the kitchen's repertoire, alongside fish and changing seasonal dishes. The drinks selection includes Japanese beer and sake, as well as organic and natural wines. Those are useful reasons to choose Maïdo when the meal is as much about exploring several small plates as choosing a single main course.
The address in the restaurant's official Instagram profile is 31 rue Gioffredo, also used by Le Fooding. Some travel articles and directories still give 29 rue Tonduti de l'Escarène. Follow the current official address and telephone number rather than mixing information from the two listings.
Opening schedules also vary between the website and seasonal social posts. The restaurant published a summer evening-only schedule in July 2026; that does not establish its October hours. Call or message the restaurant to confirm your date, especially if planning lunch. No fixed price or current weekly timetable is asserted here.

BRA score not calculated: insufficient verified source coverage.
Snapshot consulted on 2026-10-15
BRA-1.0 combines verified public ratings: Google 50%, TheFork 30%, Tripadvisor 20%. Ratings are converted to a ten-point scale and weights are renormalised over eligible sources. At least two platforms are required, each with at least 30 reviews and a combined total of 100 reviews. The result is rounded to one decimal place, with halves rounded up.
Review totals are platform counts, not necessarily unique people. Different source coverage limits comparisons between restaurants. This score does not represent a visit by our team or an award. Historical editorial ratings remain separate.
